One part to her past in particular binds her, forcing her to believe that her entire existence boils down to a single man's dying wish. In this mesmeric story of relationships, each of the four must realize what issues truly hold them back and what issues to reveal before it is too late.

Wow! I could never have guessed where this storyline was going. Four people with "extendeds including three very fragile children" ...lives intertwined like a a worn basket needing the gift of water to be reshaped by the very hands of God to live for him & through Him.The reader will live the lives of Berta, Craig, Mark & Jade; with sidebars of others..the twisting & turning of life, sometimes liking, disliking, questioning them..You know God's presence is in there...You look for it..then it all comes together..their lives..the lives of all..some of it shames you if you've walked in any of their shoes.
The book keeps you tethered..in suspense, what on earth will happen next? Sometimes it's hard to like the characters..why? Because they are so human..& like the pieces on a chessboard their lives are "moved"...by the love of God? I believe it to be so; you must determine for yourself.
Great Read..be ready to be "held" by it..by the stories..by the way God moves in the lives of His own. Enjoy.

I really enjoyed this book. It was so real and I felt like I could feel their pain and stress in the marriage. This is a book that I think a struggling couple should read.
I did like this book - at one time or another I wanted to literally shake some sense into the character I was upset with at the time. I definitely recommend this book.
Deals with choices we make. We can share with the important parties or hold it in and make ourselves sick. I remember a childhood experience and how I suffered for not sharing. My mom finally said I was on my way to the crazy house.
This book was incredible! The story was no ordinary woman cheats, man cheats back story! It has substance, circumstances and most Important, a message to deliver! Though mistakes are made on both parts God was always at the center. For a true love a story, pick up this read!!
This book was really a great book for married couples and singles. The characters were well written and the author showed so many areas of how failing to communicate can destroy marriages and friendships. It was a story of redemption and truths. I enjoyed reading this book and ready to read more from this author 😊
This was a read for a walk in the park, or one for a picnic blanket sitting in the shade. Slow but steady, very thought provoking. I think this piece would have been better if it were written in full 1st person for each character. Because it wasn't, it seemed the author had some difficulty in making transition as the character spoke and thought. It threw me off.
The premise was great what happens when you keep secrets from the ones you love. That was the glue that held the book together and kept me reading. Without it, this book would have lost me in the first chapter.
As I'm reading this book I'm wondering how does this man know about me & my husband's story...but I surmise that this is so many people's story. An excellent book to use in a couples counseling session. This is my first time reading this author but most definitely not my last. I love how he arranges the outline of each character. And when I wanted to blame and/or cry with one character or another I'm quickly reminded that we have all & will all sin and fall short. But just like Mark & Jade my husband and I put God back into the center of our marriage and we are both stronger because of that.
I say all of that to say this is an awesome book and I recommend it highly. Enjoy, just as I did.
